The investigation carried out after the serious accident which occurred Sunday in Grenoble made it possible to establish that the driver was in a state of intoxication. Analyzes revealed that he had 1.8 g of alcohol in his blood, the Grenoble prosecutor’s office said on Monday, confirming information from the Dauphiné Liberated.

On Sunday, the vehicle, on board which were three people, hit two lighting poles on the Chartreuse bridge before doing several rolls and mowing down a 51-year-old jogger, who was running on the sidewalk. His vital prognosis was still engaged this Monday at the end of the afternoon, specifies the parquet floor.

Speeding

One of the passengers in the car was released from the hospital while the second, who had to be extricated, remains seriously injured, even though his prognosis is not in danger.

The driver’s custody was extended early Monday afternoon. He will be presented Tuesday to an examining magistrate for an indictment for unintentional injuries aggravated by speed and alcohol. According to The Dauphiné Libéré, he was traveling 120 kilometers when he entered the bridge.
