The affair had caused a lot of noise in Strasbourg at the beginning of January, until it had a national echo. In early January, a Deliveroo delivery man refused to take orders in two kosher restaurants in the Alsatian capital. Its justification? “I do not deliver the Jews,” he had told two restaurateurs.

On Saturday, this 19-year-old Algerian was returned to his country of origin, communicated on Twitter Gerald Darmanin. “As I promised, the home meal ‘delivery man’ who said he did not want to serve Jewish customers was expelled from the country today, after having served his prison sentence. Antisemitic hatred has no place in France, ”wrote the Minister of the Interior, he who had engaged in this procedure as soon as the scandal was revealed.

The respondent was sentenced in mid-January to four months in prison by the Strasbourg Criminal Court for discrimination based on religion.
