The declaration of public utility of the future Grand Paris Nord hospital was canceled on Monday by the administrative court of Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis). The latter considered that “the disadvantages of the operation outweighed its advantages”.
“The operation, the configuration of which does not allow for future developments, led to an uncompensated reduction in the supply of care in a territory already suffering from significant health inequalities”, writes the court in a press release, following the opinion of the public rapporteur delivered at the end of June.
The hospital calls
The AP-HP, which manages public hospitals in Ile-de-France, is appealing after the cancellation on Monday of the declaration of public utility of the Grand Paris Nord hospital project by the administrative justice, she indicated in a statement.
“With its partners, the AP-HP cannot bring itself to a decision resulting from reasoning that is both unexpected and questionable”, indicated the AP-HP, specifying that it was requesting a stay of execution of the cancellation decision.
