Novak Djokovic’s hearing, scheduled for the night from Sunday to Monday from midnight (10 a.m. Melbourne time), started more than thirty minutes late, due to technical problems with the broadcast of the streaming session. About fifty fans of the Serbian player had gathered in front of the Melbourne court in the early morning.
It is first the lawyers of the world number 1 who will present their arguments, those they had given to the judge on Saturday. Then, from 5 a.m. (3 p.m. Melbourne time), it will be the turn of Australian government lawyers to do the same.
The decision, which will determine whether or not Djokovic can stay on Australian soil and therefore play the Australian Open (January 17-30), will not fall until early morning, if not later.
