After the resuscitations on May 11, the CGT-Health filed this Thursday a national strike notice on May 17 for nurse anesthetists. The notice, published on the union’s website, encompasses as usual all the employees of public and private hospitals, but targets in particular “employees and student nurses anesthesiologists graduates of State (Iade) and midwives anesthetists “.

The first demand, which does not follow from the others, is that of “legislative, regulatory and financial recognition of their profession up to their level of training”. The 10,000 or so Iade have in fact followed a two-year course, after the initial three years in nursing school, which they believe justifies a special status.

Received Tuesday by Olivier Véran

Main organization of the profession, the National Union of Nursing Anesthesiologists (SNIA) was received Tuesday by Olivier Véran, without obtaining progress at this stage. The Minister of Health is awaiting a report ordered from the General Inspectorate of Social Affairs (Igas) and “scheduled for the month of July”, explains the SNIA in a report published on its Facebook page, suggesting to “maintain the necessary pressure so that the conclusions are in our favor ”.

For the CGT-Santé, which called on Tuesday for a strike in the intensive care services on May 11, this new notice on May 17 is part of the perspective of a broader day of action in the health sector on May 11. June 15.
