WDR continues to work with Carolin Kebekus. This secures 32 new episodes of her “Carolin Kebekus Show”.

The future of”Carolin Kebekus Show” is initially secured. As the WDR announced on Wednesday (August 30), the broadcaster will work with comedienne Carolin Kebekus (43) for two more years. The WDR Broadcasting Council therefore approved the contract extension at its meeting. 2024 and 32 new episodes of “The Carolin Kebekus Show” are to be created in 2025. The editions of the personality show can be seen in the ARD media library and in the first ‘ Years with WDR, ARD and my team,” explains Carolin Kebekus in a statement.

On the air since 2020

The 43-year-old combines sharp satirical humor and show talent like few other comedians in Germany, says Jörg Schönenborn (58), WDR director of information, fiction and entertainment. She always put her finger in the wounds of our society. “She has been shaping our program and media library with her shows for years. I am proud and grateful that we are continuing this collaboration for two years.”

“The Carolin Kebekus Show” has been shown in the ARD Mediathek and in the Erste since May 2020. The format was awarded the Grimme Prize in 2021 and was nominated for the German Television Prize in 2021 and 2022.

New sibling show

Carolin Kebekus can currently be seen in another program. Since last Tuesday she has been competing with brother David Kebekus (39) on ProSieben against prominent siblings in several rounds. The game is played in “Wir gegen die! The Kebekus Siblings Show” for honor. In the first final they prevailed against Oti (33) and Motsi Mabuse (42). Next Tuesday they will duel with Dennis and Benni Wolter (both 33). The first edition achieved a 12.7 percent market share among 14 to 49 year olds and thus clinched the prime time victory.
