the body of a young woman found in a river identified in the Aude

The body of a young woman found on June 10 in a river in the Aude weighted with a bag of stones has been identified, the Narbonne prosecutor said on Monday. The public prosecutor, Eric Camous, revealed that it was a 24-year-old young woman placed under guardianship who had just been relocated to Narbonne.

According to the magistrate, the reasons for the death were not yet determined on Monday, specifying that he was awaiting “the results of toxicological and anatomo-cytopathological analyzes” in the coming days.

On June 10, two young women bathing in the Berre, an Audoise river, discovered the corpse weighted down by a stone bag.

A research notice launched on social networks

The investigation entrusted to the gendarmerie made it possible to establish that it was Gabrielle D. a young woman of 24 years placed under guardianship. She had obtained independent accommodation after a violent argument with her mother, herself under guardianship, with whom she had lived until then.

Friends of the young woman had sent a search notice on social networks noting that she had not given any sign of life since June 5, said Eric Camous.
