Who will be Germany’s best celebrity baker at the end of the 8th season of “The Great Celebrity Baking”? This will be decided in the final on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. on SAT.1. Of the eight celebrities who once competed, the three most talented are now at the ovens: actress Susan Sideropoulos, presenter Madita van Hülsen and the two-time javelin throwing world champion Mathias Mester.
In order to score points with the two jurors Christian Hümbs and Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt, they have to work hard again. The technical test in particular will be really tough again. The aim here is to conjure up a perfect raspberry hedgehog. This treat is one of Christian Hümbs’ absolute favorites. The bar is correspondingly high for the three prominent amateur bakers. But in the final, the jury demands absolute top performance.
The final mode: two tasks in the small final, one task in the big final
With a lot of tailwind, Susan Sideropoulos should make it to the finale because she was named baker of the week in episode 5. She has already received the red apron that came with it three times. Mathias Mester was happy about this honor once, Madita van Hülsen has never baked in red before. But strictly speaking, all these awards in the finale are, at best, morally worth something. In terms of points, all three celebrities start at zero in the first task.

After the first task and the technical test, one celebrity has to leave the baking trio – the one with the fewest points. In the all-important and most difficult test, Numero 3, the two remaining celebrities compete against each other. This one cake will then decide who will be the celebrity baker of the year 2024. In addition to fame and honor – especially towards their own family – the winner receives the Golden Cupcake as an opulent trophy and 10,000 euros for a good cause of their choice.
