The best sales software – VersicherungsJournal Germany

June 5, 2023 – At this year’s “Eisenhut Award” ceremony, Swiss Life Germany (“Finanzplan”) was awarded platinum. Silver went to the software support for old-age provision advice from AVP Professional and Ergo (“VR sales training” and “Competition App”). In addition, the sales tool “Firmenkompass” from Ergo, “BT4All Kfz” from Nürnberger Versicherungen and “3Pace Entnahmealgorithmen” from 3Pace received an award.

The Federal Association of German Insurance Salespeople eV (BVK) and Kubi eV have, for the first time together with the Insurance forums Leipzig GmbHagain this year the so-called Eisenhut Awards awarded for the best sales software. The awards, which are given in the categories “Gold”, “Silver” and “Bronze”, were presented in Rothenburg ob der Tauber for the 22nd time.

A tool with platinum

With “Platinum” the software for the holistic consulting of the Swiss Life Germany Vertriebsservice GmbH (“financial plan”). A platinum award is given to anyone who has received a gold award for the third time in a row.

The consulting software had already done this in previous years (VersicherungsJournal September 22, 2022, June 18, 2019, May 29, 2018). In 2020 and 2021 the competition took a break due to Corona. The award initiators emphasize that the tool has already received the third platinum award in this test category.

Three silvers

Silver was awarded to three tools. On the one hand, the software support for old-age provision advice received AVP Professional Software GmbH “because of their breadth of support” an award in silver.

The other two silver tools come from the Ergo Group Ltd and fell into the “Innovation & Learning” category. As in the previous year, the software “VR sales training” triggered “enthusiasm in the jury‘ That’s it, according to the jurors. Supported by VR glasses, training modules on behavior and acquisition are offered, with a choice between different customer types (avatars).

AI-supported “the fun of learning (lost in childhood) and the fun of what was learned was activated,” it is emphasized. The same applies to the second Ergo application “Competition App”, which is used for further training, according to the study authors.

Three awards for sales tools

While no bronze award has currently been awarded, three sales tools have been recognized. According to the information, this category includes “smaller applications on innovative consulting topics or with innovative solution approaches – for example for needs assessment, need fulfillment et cetera, which do not fall into the other categories”.

In addition to Ergo’s “Firmenkompass” (to support commercial advice), the excellent tools also include “BT4All Kfz” (for integrated consulting support in motor vehicle insurance) from Ergo Nuremberg insurance companies and “3Pace Withdrawal Algorithms” (for AI-driven payout plans) of 3Pace Holding GmbH.

High failure rate

With regard to the test procedure, the award initiators stated that the registered software solutions had been put through their paces in a testing phase lasting several months. Only those who successfully completed all intermediate tests received an invitation to the final.

The number of finalists was in the two-digit range, of which only a few could have been awarded.
