There is news again from Friedrichstrasse in Berlin: Culture Senator Joe Chialo (CDU) surprised the House of Representatives on Monday with the proposal to accommodate the Berlin Central and State Library in the building of the Galeries Lafayette department store. You have to admit that this is an amazingly plausible idea for the library, whose previous rooms are too small and too dilapidated and whose holdings are to be brought together anyway.
