“The Bachelor” in a bind
David has feelings for four women

The bachelor no longer knows where his heart is. After four dream dates in Rio de Janeiro, the decision doesn’t necessarily get any easier.
The “Der Bachelor” travel group (Wednesdays, 8:15 p.m., RTL and in advance on RTL+) is drawn to Rio de Janeiro for the dream dates. Or as David Jackson (32) says: “Samba and Ronaldo”. Four women are still in the running: Chiara (26), Angelina (28), Jetty (25) and Lisa (32). Before they can really fall in love on the Dreamdates, all five meet again for a group date in front of a spectacular coastal backdrop above the roofs of a suburb.
One after the other, David kidnaps the ladies for one-on-one talks. With Lisa, it already feels “very familiar” for both of them. It is agreed with Jetty that neither she nor David expected her to stay on the show for so long. With Chiara, David continues to wriggle around the necessary discussion. In the last episode, a candidate warned him about her – which she still doesn’t know anything about. After that, David continues to coo to Angelina. “There are already feelings” between the two, as she says. And he, too, has to pull himself together “not just to grab them”.
He can do that on the first dream date. On a boat under a not so sunny sky, the two drink sparkling wine and talk about how safe and close they feel to each other. There is laughter, cuddles and a lot of kissing. “Everything just fits,” says David, attesting to “more than just butterflies in the stomach”. With all the feelings, Angelina is slowly getting scared: “It would be fine with me, I wouldn’t like him that much. Then it would be easier if you didn’t get any further.”
Debate with Chiara: “That’s weak”
Next comes the date that needs clarification. The two drive through Rio in an old tram. Chiara now also notices that David is busy with something. In a café, he finally comes out with the language: “One thing happened to me on the last night of the roses: that you are different in front of the cameras…” Chiara is shocked that her “Bachelorette” application, about which she has spoken openly, was used against her behind her back: “Putting others down and spreading lies in a situation close to a decision, that’s weak”.
For David, however, Chiara’s “Bachelorette” aspiration is not a problem at all: “The fact that she applied for a Bachelorette has nothing to do with our cause.” If that were finally resolved. Now really dream date – walk, view over the sea to the sugar loaf and talks about the future. David is slowly having a problem: “It’s really going in the direction that I really like four women…”
A date will certainly help against the emotional chaos: Now it’s Jetty’s turn, for whom it is even the first single date. They clink glasses on the beach and talk about having children and trust issues. Saying goodbye is obviously difficult, David mischievously suggests that they just run away from the cameras: “We couldn’t keep our hands, arms and lips apart.” Jetty is also disappointed that it’s already over: “You just want more from the person.”
Lisa’s thirst for adventure: “It’s annoying”
Finally, Lisa and a helicopter take to the air. The travel-loving couple are mostly busy enjoying the view, with the Christ the Redeemer statue atop Corcovado as the highlight. It is now clear to him that Lisa is the woman who most resembles David: “I think no matter what you do to you, 90 percent of the time you’ve already done it. Normally I’m always told that – it’s annoying. ” After the date, the bachelor raves about being “a little lost”.
As expected, the decision made in Düsseldorf after the flight home presents the bachelor with an emotional challenge: “I find myself in the situation that I have feelings for several women. I don’t know what to do next.” And: “I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.” But then he can decide – against Jetty. With her only date, she couldn’t catch up on what David had already experienced with the other women.
