Michael Ostrowski is one of those actors from Austria that you can’t get enough of in this country. A conversation about dialect and humor, his recent workaholism and a new major project with Gerhard Polt.

He’s not easy to pin down. Interview requests failed several times due to his appointment calendar. No wonder, because as it turns out, Michael Ostrowski has been shooting like a madman in recent years, with Bully Herbig and Anika Decker, among others. “Yes, that was borderline too much,” says the actor on the phone, when it finally works out with a detailed conversation. Most of you should know the Austrian, born in 1973 in Leoben in Styria, from the Eberhofer comedies, but also from the films by Michael Glawogger and the Passau thrillers on ARD (two new episodes on March 31 and April 7, each 8:15 p.m., and in the media library). In May, his very own heart project “Der Onkel – The Hawk” premiered.
