For Otfried Preußler’s 100th birthday, the artist Mehrdad Zaeri has re-illustrated “Krabat”. Zaeri has been working as a draftsman and artist for over 30 years; his pictures can be seen on house walls in various cities in Germany. In a confident play of light and shadow, his “Krabat” illustrations, all in black and white, offer a new reading of a great classic of young adult literature.
