It was in fact “baggage forgotten by a tourist”, Philippe Loos, secretary general of the Alpes-Maritimes prefecture, told AFP. The suitcase had been found abandoned in front of the tourist office located between the accesses of the two largest projection rooms of the congress center of the Croisette. The intervention of the security forces ended at 2 p.m. and the security perimeter was able to be lifted.
