The actress’s family condemns the tribute to Yann Moix

A tribute that does not pass. In the latest issue of Paris Match, the writer Yann Moix occupies three pages of the magazine to tell his story with Charlotte Valandrey, who died on July 13. “She had a heart, even when it wasn’t hers. Charlotte Valandrey is dead: she wasn’t really a friend; rather the sister that I should have had, ”wrote the former columnist ofWe are not in bed in the first lines of his story.

His meeting with the actress, his intimacy with her, the announcement of his HIV status, Yann Moix recounts several episodes of their relationship. Never, I thought, could I spend my life with AIDS – his, his becoming mine. […] I belonged, his instinct had told him, to the craven category of lovers who were withdrawing, who did not want her because of death, ”he relates in particular, before concluding by affirming that Charlotte Valandrey “passed away without telling me, with a modesty of her own”.

“A Brief Reconciliation”

In a message posted on the actress’s Instagram account, her family wants to make their point of view heard: according to her, “no one among the closest is aware of this complicity” between Charlotte Valandrey and Yann Moix. “What we know is a brief rapprochement without a love story when they were young but especially not much since,” is it written in a press release.

“When he worked on Saturday evening on television, the columnist never answered calls from Charlotte who needed him. That’s show business, brotherly support, ”continues the family of the actress.
