The actor Werner Enke exhibits his paintings in Munich – Munich

He didn’t quite manage to do nothing. The actor and author Werner Enke, who became known as a twister of words, a hanger-on and a Uschi-Glas seducer in the 1968 film hit “To the Matter, Sweetheart”, withdrew from the film business decades ago. He lives in Schwabing with his partner May Spils (who directed “Sweetheart”) and during his rare public appearances he always asserts that he is busy doing nothing. That apparently didn’t stop him from painting: the 82-year-old is now exhibiting his landscape paintings publicly for the first time.

He calls his colorful art “hobbyism” and painting makes him peaceful, he says. He mainly paints forests, meadows or fields. You can view his pictures in the Klaus Lea Gallery every Tuesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
