Start date and candidates are known: These celebrities are fighting for one of their fans on “The 50”.

It sounds like a who’s who of the reality TV scene: Amazon Prime Video has announced the participants of its new show “The 50”. As the title promises, there are 50 candidates. They compete against each other in various challenges until only one remains. The highlight: The winner doesn’t win the jackpot for himself, but for a fan. Amazon also revealed the start date in a press release. It starts on March 11, 2024.

The 50 participants all bring relevant experience from formats ranging from “Bachelor” to “Sommerhaus”. There are the usual suspects who have already been through almost every reality show, from Matthias Mangiapane (40) to Danni Büchner (45).

Three jungle queens and kings are doing the honors: Djamila Rowe (56), Filip Pavlović (29) and Menderes Bagci (39). Ex-footballer Thorsten Legat (55) is competing against a special opponent: his son Nico. Serkan Yavuz (31), who won “Battle of the Reality Stars” and “The Summer House of the Stars” last year, is one of the favorites.

Jackpot goes to followers of the winner

The jackpot is initially set at 50,000 euros, but can continue to fill or empty until the end of the show – depending on the performance of the candidates who compete in the challenges every day. The winners of the games vote on which of the losers have to leave and which get a second chance.

The adaptation of the French show “Les Cinquante” starts on March 11th with the first four episodes. Four more episodes will follow on March 18th and 25th. The two final editions will be available from April 1st.
