The 2027 Worlds will be played in Haute-Savoie

A last title of world champion at home for the French Julian Alaphilippe? The 2027 World Cycling Championships will take place in Haute-Savoie, announced the International Cycling Union (UCI) at its congress on Thursday on the sidelines of the Worlds in Wollongong, Australia.

France and the Netherlands were the two countries in the running to win these “Super World Championships”, which now bring together all the disciplines of cycling each pre-Olympic year, from road to BMX via track and mountain biking, including included in disabled sports. The reigning double world champion, Julien Alaphilippe will celebrate his 35th birthday in 2027.
