The 2023 Goncourt prize for high school students is awarded to Neige Sinno for her novel “Triste Tigre”

It’s a double. After the Femina Prize, Neige Sinno wins this 36th edition of the 2023 Goncourt Prize for high school students for her book Sad Tiger, on incest, Thursday November 23. In this story, published on August 17 by POL editions, the author returns to the rapes she suffered at the hands of her stepfather when she was a child. This is his third novel.

Thirteen high school students decided between the seven finalists, during a closed-door deliberation held this morning in Rennes. This jury, made up of thirteen teenagers, was appointed during the regional deliberations, which took place on Monday in six cities in France: Lyon, Metz, Nîmes, Poitiers, Paris and Rennes. The award ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. at the Ministry of National Education and Youth in Paris.
