The suffering from legal drugs is already immeasurable in this country. 70,000 people die every year as a result of their alcohol consumption, 130,000 from tobacco. 1.4 million are addicted to alcohol, 200,000 get cancer because they smoke or drink. It’s all bad enough, one would think. With cannabis, the country doesn’t need another legal drug that makes people sick, dependent and unhappy – and all with the blessing and assistance of the state.
