Thanks to a drone equipped with a thermal camera, firefighters find two lost hikers

Two hikers lost in the Caroux massif, in the Hérault hinterland, were rescued thanks to new means used by firefighters for personal assistance. Called to support the gendarmes after 11 p.m., these two hikers were spotted using a drone equipped with a thermal cell.

Quickly geolocated, they were then rescued by men who came to meet them who helped them come down. The two walkers, safe and sound, were left with quite a scare. If the days are hot, temperatures drop below 10°C at night in Roquebrun, a town located about twenty kilometers from Béziers.
