TGV and Intercités subscribers will receive a refund

Between strikes for wages and working conditions for railway workers and those against pension reform, SNCF traffic has been regularly disrupted in recent months. And if “occasional” users have, in theory, been reimbursed for each cancellation, subscribers have been entitled to nothing. The management of the SNCF has therefore decided to make a gesture for “twenty thousand” of very loyal customers, according to information from the Parisian.

SNCF Voyageurs has thus announced to user associations “an exceptional measure for all holders of a Max Actif +/Max Actif subscription, corresponding to a reduction of 50% on the monthly payment for June”. For their part, holders of the “LGV package”, which allows free movement on a single line, will be entitled to “between 15 and 20% of the amount of their package depending on the months affected by the strikes, and this until 50% if three monthly packages are impacted”.

The travelers concerned must submit a request for compensation, with supporting documents, during the month of June. In addition, subscribers to Intercités lines during the first months of 2023 will be reimbursed up to 50% of the amount of the subscription, announced the Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune. “Regular travelers”, who have made more than five round trips in the month, will receive a check for 100 euros.
