A driver crashed her vehicle into a pond in Lower Bavaria and died. As the police announced, the 54-year-old drove her car off the road on federal highway 388 near Tettenweis (Passau district) on Wednesday night.
The woman slipped diagonally into the water on the driver’s side and was no longer able to free herself. According to the information, a witness called the police and emergency services. Firefighters rescued the lifeless woman from her car, but attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful, according to police. The woman died in hospital. The cause of the accident was initially unclear.
