Tether Suspends $160M USDT From 3 Addresses On Ethereum

Stablecoin issuer Tether suspended three Ethereum addresses on Thursday. which holds more than $160 million in USDT, according to data from Etherscan And this prevents the three accounts from moving any money anywhere.

In total, Tether has blacklisted 563 addresses on the Ethereum blockchain as of November 2017. As reported by Blocky block explorer

“Today, Tether has suspended three addresses on the Ethereum blockchain valued at $160 million. on request from law enforcement We are unable to disclose any further details,” a Tether spokesperson wrote in an email.

Tether has previously said it regularly works with regulators to oversee suspicious accounts. Addresses with more than $1 million in USDT were suspended at the end of December.

Tether, where USDT tokens are issued on multiple blockchains It has begun blacklisting following a November 2017 breach in which the company said $30 million worth of USDT was stolen.
