Rare are the “acrobats” – a term that Charles Aznavour claimed – to have had the right to a national funeral. However, this is the tribute that France paid, on October 5, 2018, to Shahnourh Vaghinag Aznavourian (his Armenian name), one of the most popular singers in France… and elsewhere, since he had even been crowned, in 1998, “variety artist of the century” across the Atlantic (ahead of Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan, please!).
