On October 7th, Hamas attacked Israeli club culture with incredible brutality. More than 260 visitors died at the Nova festival. DJs were shot, women were raped or kidnapped, young revelers were hunted down and killed. Today, more than forty attendees of the rave are still held hostage by Hamas. But so far there have been hardly any expressions of solidarity in the international DJ scene. A gig in Israel until October 7th was a kind of ennoblement. People appreciated the hedonistic Israeli clubbers and the good pay, the Los Angeles feeling of Tel Aviv and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Jerusalem, just a four-hour flight from Berlin.
