Agreement with LFI for the legislative elections: for Clémentine Autain (LFI), “there is no question of hegemony” Melenchonist, but “everyone must be reasonable”
MP Clémentine Autain (La France insoumise, LFI) said this morning at the microphone of France 2 that her party “ took an action that created momentum”a “political proposal” concrete, by initiating negotiations with the rest of the left – the Communist Party, the New Anticapitalist Party, Europe Ecologie-LesVerts, then, more recently, the Socialist Party (PS).
“We have the desire to build a federation, (…) a coherent majority, on the basis of the program that very largely came out on top” during the presidential election, continued the member for Seine-Saint-Denis. “It is not a question of hegemony”, she added, saying: “We are proposing an intergroup (…), it is a movement which must live off its diversity, its pluralism. »
On the subject of the discussions which are opening today with the Socialists, despite the severe differences of opinion between the two parties and the lively tensions during the presidential election, Mme Autain argued that they were made possible because of the PS’s internal vote last week, confirming the party’s desire to launch these exchanges.
“The Socialist Party decides the future of the Socialist Party”then said Mr.me Autain, then questioned about the current situation of the PS and its difficulties. With a view to a possible agreement between all the forces of the left, she concluded: “Everyone must be reasonable, each and everyone must measure their responsibility. »
To Yannick Jadot, who said yesterday on France Inter that if this agreement came down to settling ” rear “ Mr. Mélenchon would be without him, Clémentine Autain replied: “It is he who has in fact excluded himself from it” in “proposing a simple electoral agreement”.
