Tempers are clearly heating up this Friday afternoon at Sciences Po Paris (7th arrondissement). The higher education establishment blocked since last night by pro-Palestinian activists is at the heart of strong tensions with the arrival of around fifty pro-Israel activists in front of the building chanting “Liberate Sciences po” or “Liberate Gaza of Hamas.” Some were masked and had motorcycle helmets.
They came to face the hundred demonstrators who came to support the blockers in front of the school. A stampede between supporters of the two camps occurred among the many journalists present. The police then positioned themselves to separate the two groups without violence.
According to information from BFM TVthe Paris police chief, Laurent Nunez, asked to evacuate the public roads.
