The world selection can continue to hope for the first win at the Laver Cup of tennis professionals. After the first two singles of the second day it is 4:4 between Team Europe and the best players from the rest of the world.

The world selection can continue to hope for the first win at the Laver Cup of tennis professionals. After the first two singles of the second day it is 4:4 between Team Europe and the best players from the rest of the world.

At the start, Italian Matteo Berrettini defeated Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the tie-break match 7:6 (13:11), 4:6, 10:7, giving the Europeans the lead. Then the American Taylor Fritz defeated the British Cameron Norrie in a tie-break match 6:1, 4:6, 10:8 and equalized. The previous four editions of the team competition had all been won by the Europeans.

Late on Friday evening, Roger Federer ended his great career in London. At the side of Rafael Nadal, the 41-year-old Swiss had to admit defeat in his last official game to the US duo Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe in the tie-break match 6: 4, 6: 7 (2: 7), 9:11.
