Jannik Sinner is still unstoppable at the ATP finals. In the semi-finals, the local hero only wobbled briefly.

Big opportunity for the local hero: Jannik Sinner from Italy was the first player to reach the final at the ATP Finals.

The 22-year-old crowd favorite beat Russian Daniil Medvedev 6:3, 6:7 (4:7), 6:1 in the semifinals and is now in the final of the eight best tennis professionals for the first time at the end of the season. Sinner, who is the only player still undefeated at the ATP finals this year, converted his first match point after 2:29 hours.

In the final on Sunday (6 p.m./Sky), Sinner will face the winner of the second semi-final between world number one Novak Djokovic from Serbia and Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz from Spain. The top duel takes place this Saturday evening at 9 p.m. (Sky). Olympic champion Alexander Zverev missed out on a place in the semi-finals despite a 2-1 win.
