Nuremberg tennis pro Maximilian Marterer was also initially unable to continue his first-round game against Slovenian Aljaz Bedene after 30 minutes. The qualifier led 4:3 in the first set. On the first day of the tournament, rain was forecast until the afternoon.

In Wimbledon, Center Court and Court 1 have a mobile roof so that games can be played there regardless of the weather. In the second largest stadium, Warsteiner Jan-Lennard Struff will play the fifth seeded Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the second game of the day. Then the three-time Grand Slam tournament winner Angelique Kerber meets Kristina Mladenovic from France. The other seven German tennis professionals who are in action on Monday should play their games on the uncovered courts.
