The Nuremberg tennis pro Maximilian Marterer also had to pause for a good 90 minutes during his first round game on Monday against the Slovenian Aljaz Bedene. The games continued in the early afternoon.

In Wimbledon, Center Court and Court 1 have a mobile roof so that games can be played there regardless of the weather. In the second largest stadium, Warsteiner Jan-Lennard Struff will play the fifth seeded Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the second game of the day. Then the three-time Grand Slam tournament winner Angelique Kerber meets Kristina Mladenovic from France. The other seven German tennis professionals who are in action on Monday play their games on the uncovered courts.
