Alexander Zverev is back in form and wants to continue to gain confidence at the Masters in Indian Wells. He’s already thinking about the season highlight in the summer.

For Olympic champions For Alexander Zverev, the edition in Paris in the summer is the highlight of the season. “This is the biggest event of this year. I think for a lot of players,” said the 26-year-old from Hamburg in Indian Wells.

“Carlos Alcaraz also said he would rather win the Olympic Games than win a Grand Slam this year. I believe him straight away.” Zverev won gold in Tokyo in 2021. After his serious injury at the French Open 2022, he is now back in shape and made it to the semi-finals at the Australian Open in January.

“I’m happy with how I’m playing. I’m happy about it and I’m also happy about what the year has to offer for me,” said Zverev before his first game at the Masters in Indian Wells. There he will face the Australian Christopher O’Connell after a bye in the first round. The second round match is the second in the morning session, which starts at 8 p.m. German time.

Zverev is not yet satisfied with the results of his career. The big goal remains a win at one of the Grand Slams. “I’m 26 years old and I still want to achieve something in my life. I still want to achieve something in my career. That’s not enough for me right now,” he said.
