The Gard Assize Court sentenced a man to ten years’ imprisonment for aggravated rapes which occurred between 2009 and 2013. Now aged 72, he appeared in a wheelchair during this closed-door trial in the victim’s request.
Already convicted twice in the past for sexual assault, he abused for several years the daughter of the one who was then his companion, when she was between 15 and 19 years old.
Released from charge of corruption of a minor
The Advocate General had requested fifteen years’ imprisonment.
The septuagenarian, also prosecuted for corruption of a minor, was however acquitted of this charge.
