Fast driving can be expensive in the future on the Poinger Westring. Because the W7 residential area is now ready to move into, the Poinger administration has checked the effects on traffic in Bergfeldstraße and Westring and evaluated them according to the current legal situation. According to the administration, the prerequisites for setting up a 30 km/h zone are now in place – and this also creates the prerequisite for traffic monitoring. The new 30 km/h zone applies from Bergfeldstraße to the east of the lake via the Westring and – as before – almost to the junction with Plieninger Straße. Because of the buses that run here, Bergfeldstraße is the priority road despite the 30 km/h zone, otherwise the timetable cannot be maintained. “We will flash there too,” Mayor Thomas Stark announced at the most recent municipal council meeting.
