Tell us about your struggles and your tips for surviving the garbage collectors’ strike

Today I tried to go and throw out my trash. Or maybe yesterday, I don’t know. I received a communiqué: “Additional rounds. Net installed. Teams on alert”. It does not mean anything. Maybe it was yesterday.

If you are no stranger to Marseille, you certainly know the wanderings in the middle of the waste. Already that the sidewalks are not thick, and invite us to walk on the road among cars and scooters, the piles of waste no longer leave us much choice. It also happens that they even block a road, or even your building door, when they have not covered your car (badly parked).

As the third week of the third garbage collectors’ strike of the last five months begins, we thought that at this stage, you necessarily had things to tell us.

What are your tips and tricks for surviving this situation? Have you tried to reduce your waste? How? ‘Or’ What ? Do you have a map that reveals the streets where the waste is (quickly) picked up and where you will throw your bag? What painful (or funny, it also works) anecdote did you experience? Did you witness an epic fight between a pack of rats against a gang of Gabians, ready to fight for a bag of food waste (if so, we want the video)?

In short, tell us about your experience, your troubles, but also your tips for surviving the garbage collectors’ strike…
