After the corona-related break, “The Helene Fischer Show” was obviously eagerly awaited on ZDF – it won the ratings on the first holiday.

The comeback of the “Helene Fischer Show” on Christmas Day gave ZDF very good ratings. Four years after the last broadcast, an average of 5.02 million viewers tuned in from 8:15 p.m. This meant the primetime ratings victory for the overall audience.

Although “The Helene Fischer Show” recorded the lowest number of viewers (reach) in ten years, the market share of 20.7 percent was actually slightly higher than the last edition in 2019, when almost six million watched.

Explanation: Television behavior has changed, fewer people watch linear TV – and so lower viewer numbers can mean higher market shares.

The pop queen set a record for her show with the younger audience: This time, Fischer achieved a 21.2 percent market share among 14 to 49-year-olds, which in absolute numbers corresponded to 1.16 million viewers. Until now, the market share in this target group had always been less than 20 percent.

The show first came on Christmas 2011, back then on the first. In 2013 Fischer moved to ZDF. Due to Corona, there were no new editions in 2020, 2021 and 2022. This time it was the tenth “Helene Fischer Show”. It was recorded in Düsseldorf at the beginning of December with numerous celebrities and broadcast on Monday evening.
