Scripts for the series “Friends” sold at auction for 22,000 pounds

Found in the trash can of a TV studio, they were now auctioned off for 22,000 pounds: “Friends” scripts. The bidders were crazy about it – it’s about scripts for a very special episode.
“The bidders went crazy for these scripts,” said Amanda Butler of the auction house, according to the statement. Apparently they were found in a former TV studio. “Apparently the cast and crew were instructed to destroy their copies so that the ending wouldn’t be revealed. The two of them must have slipped through.”
In an interview with the BBC, Butler explained why she believes the scripts are real. The woman who found the scripts worked in the TV studio in the 1990s and found them in the trash can there. “And she’s kept it ever since. I think she forgot she had it.”
Now the woman had other objects auctioned off and asked whether the scripts also had a chance. The auction house considers the background story to be authentic – the scripts don’t look like those that you can easily buy on the Internet. The auction house had originally expected around 600 to 800 pounds (around 700 to 930 euros). In the end, the bidder paid just under 29,000 pounds (around 33,700 euros), including fees.
