Leonard Lansink has played the main character in the ZDF crime series “Wilsberg” for more than 25 years. Shortly before the 80th episode is broadcast, he looks back – and is not entirely satisfied.

Leonard Lansink (68), leading actor in the ZDF crime series “Wilsberg”, is really satisfied with less than half of the cases broadcast. “If we’re honest, of the 80 or so episodes we did, I think 30 are good and 5 are very good. 30 are okay and then there are still a few left that I personally like less,” said Lansink the broadcast of the 80th episode.

“But the core of things is of course: Everyone sees their own film. What I like doesn’t have to be what everyone else likes. And what others like, I sometimes don’t like.” That’s just the way it is. And he had to admit that he wasn’t always right about his own doubts during filming. “That’s why it’s really good that there is a director with an outside perspective. And the most important thing is that the audience likes our Wilsberg stories.”

Lansink, who has played the private detective Georg Wilsberg since 1998, definitely wants to reach 100. With four shoots per year, the goal is to be achieved in three and a half years.
