“GNTM”: Heidi Klum sends four models home

Now there is the first big photo shoot in Tenerife. But four candidates then have to pack their bags.
In the new season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” the first candidates were eliminated – four at once. For Yanik (21), Bao-Huy (22), Vanessa (22) and the newly added Tracy (26) it was over in the fourth episode. They didn’t succeed, hostess Heidi Klum (50) and model and actress Elizabeth Hurley (58) convince at the first big photo shoot of the new season.
The models had to demonstrate their skills in the salty waters of the Atlantic on the beach in Tenerife. Particularly bitter: Tracy had only just joined in the episode. She had voluntarily left in the fifth episode of the previous season and asked for a second chance in the finale. During a short interview sequence in the audience, Tracy said that she now regrets her decision to leave. So the reunion didn’t last long.
Elizabeth Hurley has to make a decision – without Heidi
Heidi Klum was not present when the decision was announced because she did not feel comfortable in the water after the shoot. Klum took the photos himself. And so it was up to Elizabeth Hurley to say goodbye to the candidates: “There are a lot of beautiful people in this world who don’t make good models. And there are a lot of good models who are actually beautiful. Don’t see it so dramatically, “It doesn’t mean anything,” the actress told those eliminated.
In the first challenge in the new episode, the candidates had to pose in pairs in front of a camera and convince Heidi Klum and designer Jean Paul Gaultier (71). The winners of the duels were allowed to appear in front of the camera with Heidi Klum and were automatically advanced to a round.
Then we went to Tenerife, where, as candidate Lucas (24) aptly described, it was like a school trip. “It’s really bad, we’re all adults,” said Lucas. And so there was a fight over the rooms and the right roommates had to be found. And a possible romance also seems to be brewing: between Armin (27) and Jana (24), who barely made it to the next round.
