Award for the ARD dramedy: The series “Die Zweiflers” wins prizes in three categories.

The six-part ARD dramedy “Die Zweiflers” about a Jewish-German family and their delicatessen in Frankfurt am Main won three prizes at the Cannes television festival called Canneseries. The production by Turbokultur GmbH in co-production with ARD Degeto Film and Hessischer Rundfunk (HR) won awards in the categories “Best Series”, “Best Music” and “High School Award for Best Series”.

“All viewers can look forward to the broadcast: from May 3rd in the ARD Mediathek,” said Thomas Schreiber, managing director of ARD Degeto Film, according to the announcement.

Showrunner and creator of “Die Zweiflers” is David Hadda, who wrote the scripts together with Juri Sternburg and Sarah Hadda. Directed by Anja Marquardt and Clara Zoë My-Linh von Arnim. The main roles include Mike Burstyn, Aaron Altaras, Saffron Coomber, Sunnyi Melles, and Mark Ivanir, Eleanor Reissa, Deleila Piasko, Leo Altaras, Ute Lemper, Leonille Wittgenstein, Lena Klenke and Martin Wuttke also play.
