Dagmar Manzel ends her “crime scene” career
Actress Dagmar Manzel only wants to be in front of the camera again as “Tatort” commissioner Paula Ringelhahn. She is still “incredibly in the mood” for other things.
The Berliner already has many plans for the future after the shoot, “for example staging an opera, playing with the grandchildren or going on holiday for several weeks at a time”. Bettina Ricklefs, head of the BR program area feature film series, praised the actress for her work. She brought her character of Paula Ringelhahn to life with precision, cleverness, depth and great inner wealth.
Since 2015, Manzel has been part of the trio of investigators at the Franconian “crime scene” with Fabian Hinrichs and Eli Wasserscheid. According to the BR, it is still unclear who will take over her successor. The three of them are currently shooting the crime thriller “Trotzdem”, directed by Max Färberböck, in and around Nuremberg. In it, a young man is innocent in the opinion of his friends and family after the violent death of a woman. When he kills himself, a series of disturbing developments begins.
