Telekom shares are currently celebrating a celebration that many people didn’t even know they were celebrating: Exactly 10,000 days ago, on November 18, 1996, the former state-owned company went public. Only the older ones will remember this, the younger ones no longer knew who Ron Sommer was ten years ago (then Telekom boss and the best-known German manager, that’s how the world’s fame goes). Still, the day is worth remembering because investors can learn some valuable lessons from it.
