Telegram has released another major update. The new version brings among other things translations for messages and an improved use of reactions. In addition, new options for text markup have been introduced.
Telegram received another major update. The update to version 8.4 brings some new functions for Messenger, which has the most users after WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, but is also controversial because it has also become a magnet for extremists.
In the latest update to version 8.4 for iOS and Android, Telegram brings among other things translations, these are available for messages in chats and groups, how good they are has to be shown in case of doubt.
Further improvements make it even easier to send reactions to a message and relate to test labeling and the use of QR codes, for example to share a group.

Reactions
• Double-tap a message to send a quick: thumbsup: response.
• There are more reactions to choose from when you press and hold a message.
• Change your default emoji in Settings> Stickers and Emoji.
• Owners and admins of groups or channels can activate reactions in the group or channel profile under Edit> Reactions.

• After entering text in the text input field, highlight your text and choose ‘Spoiler’ in the formatting menu to hide the selected text.
• In the chat, tap on the spoiler animation to see the hidden text.
• Spoiler formatting hides text in the chat, in the chat list and in the messages (notifications).
translation
• Activate the translation function in the settings under language.
• To translate something, press and hold a chat message and select “Translate”.
QR codes
• In the settings you can display your personal QR code, which refers to your public t.me link.
• In the profile of public groups, bots and channels you will also find a QR code that you can share at any time.
