Searches undertaken to find him were unsuccessful. Monday afternoon, a young teenager fell into the Jonage canal, near Décines near Lyon. The tragedy occurred while he was on a family outing along the canal and he was playing, revealed Progress this Tuesday.
Emergency services were dispatched around 4 p.m. Significant resources were deployed to locate him but the search was stopped around 9:30 p.m., once night fell.
His parents and siblings, shocked, were taken care of by the firefighters.
