A teenager died this Friday after having fallen heavily from a tram, Thursday, September 16, while “tram-surfing”. Hospitalized in absolute urgency, he succumbed to his injuries.
Aged 15, the young man had clung to a tram of the T7 line, from which he had fallen seriously injuring himself. The T3 and T7 lines had cut off their power supply to prevent further accidents, according to Lyon Mag.
This illegal practice, which consists of clinging with bare hands to the sides or the back of a streetcar in circulation, is popular with young people who sometimes stage it on social networks. Tram-surfing has already caused numerous accidents, some fatal, across the country.
