A 15-year-old collapsed in a lake in Lower Franconia while fleeing the police. The young person lost consciousness for an initially unclear reason and had to be rescued by the police, the police said on Monday. Accordingly, the 15-year-old and another young person were observed by a witness on Friday evening in Kahl am Main (Aschaffenburg district) damaging several side mirrors on parked cars. When the man called the police on his cell phone, the 15-year-old snatched the cell phone from him and ran away with his companion.
Police officers later discovered the 15-year-old at a lake in the community on the border with Hesse. The teenager then went into the lake and lost consciousness. After being rescued, the 15-year-old came to and was ultimately uninjured. The officers were initially unable to locate his companion. The investigation into property damage was ongoing.
