Fortunately, there is still Ted Lasso: The coach of the fictional London football club AFC Richmond also manages to build everyone involved in the new episodes of the US comedy series, with his inimitable mixture of enthusiasm, simplicity, humanity and humor.

And Led Tasso is everything that Ted Lasso could never be: quick-tempered, choleric and equipped with the fury of a tyrant that even the most spoiled football millionaire cuddles in front of him. Whereby the sporting failures of the AFC Richmond hardly play a role, they only hold up for one or the other gag.
Nevertheless, this coach is the hero of the hour: Started as one of many series of Apple’s own streaming service, “Ted Lasso” turned out to be the most successful, it was among the most popular streaming series in the USA for months, Jason Sudeikis won a Golden Globe, The series is currently nominated for 20 Primetime Emmys. It can neither compete with the show values of “See” or the star power of “The Morning Show”, two further series productions from Apple. Ted Lasso has heart and soul for this – a quality that many modern series heroes of today lack. And then there would be Ted’s soft spot for Hollywood films from the nineties: What do favorite screen couples like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant or Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson have to do with modern football? After Ted Lasso’s lecture, that seems absolutely plausible.
