That’s why Ekaterina “Ekat” Leonova had to cry

She is one round further, but Ekaterina Leonova cried in the latest “Let’s Dance” edition.

Together with the mentalist Timon Krause (28), the professional dancer Ekaterina Leonova (35) is one more round on “Let’s Dance”. In the latest edition of the dance show, however, fan favorite Ekat cried. In an interview with RTL, she explainswhy she was so upset at the end of the show.

In addition to star chef Ali Güngörmüs (46) and his dance partner Christina Luft (33), ex-handball players Mimi Kraus (39) and Mariia Maksina (26) were also caught yesterday evening. And that’s exactly what caused the outbreak at Leonova. She recently danced not only with Kraus because of a short-term partner exchange, she is also good friends with Maksina.

“One suspects a bit that it can affect my siblings,” explains Ekat. Of course it’s a show and not a professional dance competition, but: “My heart just breaks when I see […] that they have to go. It’s hard to just accept that.”

“But look, we are together and everything is fine”

In a Stories on Instagram Ekat also shows up alongside Maksina on Saturday. “The mood is not so great right now,” explains the dancer. She still has a headache from yesterday: “I found that so unfair.” Her friend comforts Leonova: “But look, we are together and everything is fine.” She also expresses gratitude for supporting Ekat, whom Maksina calls a sister.

frizzy thanked in a story meanwhile, for the support of the fans and also Maksina spoke up on her account. “We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for the unforgettable and amazing journey we shared throughout the show,” she writes. She also thanks her dance partner and the jury, consisting of Joachim Llambi (58), Motsi Mabuse (42) and Jorge González (55). “We will always carry this experience in our hearts and are grateful for every moment we were able to spend on the dance floor.” In a comment, Leonova also referred to her friend as a “sister heart”, Kraus, on the other hand, had become like a brother to her.
