Superstar Taylor Swift shows compassion – and opens her wallet to help the relatives of those shot at the Super Bowl party in Kansas City.

After the fatal shooting of a woman at this year’s Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, the US musician Taylor Swift (34) donated $100,000 to the victim’s family. “I send my deepest sympathy and condolences for your devastating loss,” Swift wrote on Friday night about her donation. She gave these in two partial sums of $50,000 each on a fundraising website set up by the family, as confirmed to the DPA news agency. In total, the equivalent of around 300,000 euros had been received by Saturday afternoon (CET).

Taylor Swift’s boyfriend ‘heartbroken’ over shooting in Kansas

The Donation website The description said it was set up to support the family during this difficult time. The woman who died was married and had two children. She was simply trying to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory at Wednesday’s parade when she was “senselessly killed,” the website said.

More than 20 people were injured in the shooting, including children and young people (stern reported). “I am heartbroken about the tragedy that occurred today. My heart goes out to everyone who celebrated with us and who was affected,” Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce said afterwards on the online platform X Twitter, wrote.

Kelce is superstar Swift’s boyfriend. However, unlike at the game on Sunday, the singer did not accompany him at the parade and victory speeches in Kansas City because she is on tour in Australia.
